What is Permanent Cosmetic Makeup?
It is a simple, non-surgical, medical procedure that allows pigment to be placed into the epidermis layer of the skin, using a multiple pronged probe. Implanting the color into the epidermis layer of the skin is a more natural way for our skin and body to accept the procedure. Versus the machine method that “punches” the color into our dermal layer. The dermal layer contains nerve endings and blood cells, which have the ability to break down and absorb most foreign particles. This is where our immune system begins. The fading factor, as compared to the machine method is noticeably less for one simple reason: the pigments are not in an area where the immune system can break it down and absorb it!

How is Permanent Makeup applied?
The process is done by a manual method. We dip a set of needles into a pigment and apply it to the skin. We create the desired shape and design that is pleasing to the client. It is the most gentle and comfortable procedure creating the most natural look. It causes little discomfort and some clients describe the sensation as being similar to tweezing their eyebrows. However, topical anesthetizing agents are available for those who prefer them.

Is it Safe and Sanitary?
Of course! Thousands have used this method with no problems. The E-Z Manual Method is 100% disposable so there is no chance of cross contamination. The pigments are all natural and organic. Needles deposit pigment into the skin through a gentle tapping motion. It is commonly compared to tweezing your eyebrows. Older traditional methods of tattooing typically use reciprocating needles which punch the pigment into the skin, often causing bruising for several days. The newer manual method gently snags and lifts the skin allowing the pigment to flow into the skin. There is a difference in the amount of pain experienced by the client. Many clients who have had permanent makeup with the traditional older tattoo machine attest to the fact that the newer manual method is far gentler. Therefore, the skin recovers faster and clients have been known to go out on the town that night.

What are the advantages of Permanent Makeup?
It is the answer for active people who don’t want to take the time to apply make-up. It is also perfect for individuals with limited hand and arm motion. If hot humid weather or oily skin is causing your makeup-up to smear and run this is the answer. Or if sensitive skin and allergies tend to prevent you from wearing make-up, this is a great alternative. If visibility has become a problem, this is the answer. In general permanent makeup is for those who want to look their best all of the time. It never comes off at night, in the pool or wherever you are!

Does it look natural?
Yes! With the manual technique individual fine hairs can be easily and artistically drawn on. The final look is natural, soft, powdery and subtle. The beautiful pigment colors are rich and can be blended to match you desired color. Our pigment colors stay true to their original shade.

Is Permanent Cosmetics truly permanent?
The process is considered permanent, but it will lighten over a period of years. A touch-up visit may be necessary to achieve optimum procedural results. The fee for the touch-ups is inexpensive.
